The Syrian Army announced on Friday the opening of a humanitarian corridor to allow civilians to exit the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the northern city of Aleppo, while calling on members of the terrorist organization YPG/SDF to lay down their arms.

The Army Operations Command told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the corridor would be open from 4 to 6 pm local time (1300–1500GMT).

“We urge our people in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood to move quickly and exit to Aleppo’s other districts via the al-Awarid corridor,” the statement said.

“We also call on SDF elements to lay down their weapons, and we will work to secure them,” it added.
