New movie to depict killing of 5-year-old Palestinian girl Hind in Gaza: Report
Tunisian director Ben Hania's movie is about Hind Rajab tragedy

ISTANBUL
The tragic death of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed after being stranded in a vehicle struck by Israeli forces in Gaza, will be the subject of a new movie, entertainment news outlet Variety reported Tuesday.
Acclaimed Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania is directing the currently untitled project, which has secured backing from several prominent industry figures and Film4.
The production team includes Nadim Cheikhrouha, known for Four Daughters, alongside Oscar-winning producers Odessa Rae and James Wilson.
The movie will portray the Jan. 29, 2024 incident in which Hind and her family were fleeing Gaza City when their vehicle came under attack. Several family members were killed immediately, while Hind remained trapped in the car for hours, maintaining contact with the Palestinian Red Cross Society as rescuers attempted to reach her.
After Israeli forces withdrew from the area, rescue teams discovered on Feb. 10 that both Hind and the paramedics sent to save her had died.
The movie aims to highlight the human cost of the Israel's attacks on Gaza that has left more than 53,000 people killed.
