Israeli gunfire kills Palestinian child in southern Gaza
Medical sources say boy was shot inside tent in Khan Younis in another ceasefire violation
GAZA CITY, Palestine
Israeli gunfire killed a Palestinian child Tuesday after he was shot inside a tent in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, according to medical sources.
The body of 13-year-old Khaled Saif al-Din Suleiman Arada arrived at Nasser Hospital after he was struck by an Israeli bullet, medical sources told Anadolu.
The child was hit by a stray Israeli bullet that struck the tent where he was sheltering, killing him instantly, the sources said.
Israeli forces have carried out daily violations of the ceasefire in place since Oct. 10, which have killed 677 people and wounded 1,813 others as of March 18, according to Health Ministry data.
Israel launched a war on Gaza in October 2023, killing more than 72,000 Palestinians, wounding around 172,000 others, and devastating about 90% of civilian infrastructure.
