Israeli army raids Joseph's Tomb in eastern Nablus city, illegal settlers later storm site
RAMALLAH, Palestine
The Israeli army on Thursday morning raided the northern West Bank cities of Tubas and Nablus during which military bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and people's properties.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that the Israeli army raided the Far'a refugee camp in Tubas city, deployed snipers on the roofs of buildings and imposed a siege on parts of the camp.
Israeli army bulldozers also destroyed infrastructure and private property in the camp.

Clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians were heard in the camp, eyewitnesses added.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said the Israeli army was obstructing the work of its medical teams in the camp, ordering them to leave their medical station.
The army also raided Joseph's Tomb in eastern Nablus city, with illegal Israeli settlers subsequently storming the site, according to local sources.
Jews believe the site to be the burial place of the biblical patriarch Joseph. Muslims, however, challenge this claim, saying an Islamic cleric — Sheikh Yussef Dawiqat — was buried there two centuries ago. ◼️ Israeli forces raided Tubas and Nablus, destroying infrastructure and property, according to witnesses

Recent years have seen the Israeli military conducting regular raids in the occupied West Bank, escalating with the beginning of the war on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023. Palestinians have also been violently attacked by illegal Israeli settlers.
At least 749 Palestinians have since been killed and over 6,200 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.
In a landmark opinion on July 19, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land "illegal" and demanded the evacuation of all existing settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
