Israeli army kills 3 more Palestinians in Gaza despite ceasefire
Israeli force made up of several military vehicles and bulldozers advanced into Jabalia, witnesses say
GAZA CITY, Palestine/ ISTANBUL
Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in two Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, in the latest violation of a ceasefire agreement, medics said.
Medical sources told Anadolu that a 16-year-old man boy died of serious injuries after he was shot by an Israeli force that had pushed into the vicinity of the al-Ternes area in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The sources added that ambulance crews were unable to reach the site due to heavy Israeli gunfire.
According to witnesses, an Israeli force made up of several military vehicles and bulldozers, backed by infantry units, advanced several hundred meters beyond the “yellow line” into the al-Ternes area and its surroundings in the camp.
A man and woman were also killed by gunfire from military cranes near the Halawa displacement camp area in Jabalia, the sources said.
A ceasefire agreement took effect in Gaza on Oct. 10 under US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan, halting two years of Israeli attacks that have killed more than 70,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 171,000 others since October 2023.
Phase one of the deal includes the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. The plan also envisages the rebuilding of Gaza and the establishment of a new governing mechanism without Hamas.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, at least 386 people have been killed and 980 others injured by Israeli army fire since the ceasefire.
