Illegal Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem
Dozens of settlers perform Talmudic rituals under Israeli army protection, local media reports

ISTANBUL
Illegal Israeli settlers raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in the occupied East Jerusalem on Monday morning, according to local media.
The state news agency Wafa said that dozens of illegal Israeli settlers staged Talmudic rituals within the compound under the protection of the Israeli army forces.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is the world's third-holiest site for Muslims. Jews call the area Temple Mount, claiming it was the site of two Jewish temples in ancient times.
Israel occupied East Jerusalem, where Al-Aqsa is located, during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. It annexed the entire city in 1980 in a move never recognized by the international community.
