JERUSALEM

Five more Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza, the Israeli army said on Saturday, bringing the death toll since Oct. 7 to 476.


The slain soldiers included one major, one captain and three sergeants, the army said in a statement.

"Four of them fell during battles in the southern Gaza Strip, while the fifth was killed during battles in the northern Gaza Strip,” it added.

The statement further said that 10 other officers and soldiers have also been injured over the last 24 hours.

This brought the number of Israeli officers and soldiers killed since the beginning of the war on Oct. 7 to 476, including 145 since the beginning of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
