ALEPPO, Syria

Three soldiers were killed and seven wounded in an explosion during search and sweep operations in the town of Sirrin in Aleppo province, Syria, on Tuesday.

The Syrian Army has been continuing search-and-sweep operations in tunnels cleared of the YPG/SDF terror group in Sarrin, which lies east of the Euphrates River.

According to security sources, an explosive device planted by the terror group detonated during the operation, killing three soldiers and injuring seven others.

Tunnels dug by the terror group in residential areas east of the Euphrates had previously been documented by Anadolu.
