Conservatives win local elections in Norway
Conservative Hoyre Party receives 25.9% of votes in Monday’s elections, while Labor Party comes in 2nd with 21.7% of votes in Monday’s polls

ANKARA
Norway’s center-right opposition party has won local elections after nearly a century, local media reported.
The preliminary results showed that the conservative Hoyre Party, led by former Prime Minister Erna Solberg, received 25.9% of the votes in Monday’s elections, while the Labor Party came in second with 21.7% of the votes, according to the local daily Aftenposten.
The Hoyre Party received 5.8% more votes than in the elections of 2019, while the Labor Party lost 3.1%.
Solberg hailed the fact that a 99-year-old tradition was broken and that her party made a significant comeback in Labor Party's bastions.
