Turkey's total oil imports rose by 45.7% to 3.72 million tonnes in November 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, according to Turkish energy watchdog's data.
Crude oil imports, the category with the highest oil import volume, jumped 135% during that period to reach 2.67 million tonnes, Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said in its monthly oil market report.
In November 2019, Turkey imported the highest amount of crude from Russia with 1.35 million tonnes. Iraq and Kazakhstan followed with 544,357 tonnes and 267,012 tonnes, respectively.
Oil refinery product output increased by 62.3% to 3.07 million tonnes in November 2019. While diesel production was up 63% to 1.3 million tonnes, gasoline production also increased by nearly 8% to 421,75 tonnes.
In November 2019, total domestic oil product sales rose by 15.6% to 2.63 million tonnes compared to the same month of 2018.
