ISTANBUL
Turkish modular manufacturer Karmod has exported polyethylene brine storage tanks for pickle production to Greece, the company said Friday.
The tanks will be used in a production facility in Trikala, according to Abdullah Yuzugulec, Karmod Plastic Group’s export coordinator.
“Since 1986, we have been developing specialized storage tanks for different industries,” said Yuzugulec. “Our pickle brine tanks are designed based on field observations and reports to meet the specific needs of the sector -- from aeration systems to drainage channels and wide-cover designs.”
Karmod offers a variety of brine tanks ranging from 1 to 10 tons to meet different facility capacities. The company said demand for its food-grade brine tanks extends beyond Türkiye to overseas markets.
Yuzugulec noted that Karmod also manufactures olive brining tanks and other food-safe storage systems suitable for drinking water and various food processing applications.
“Each of the tanks exported to Greece has a 10,000-liter capacity, with customized aeration and filtration channels developed for the client’s facility,” said Yuzugulec.
“The top cover, with a 130-centimeter diameter, was also specially designed. These 10-ton brine tanks will be used in pickle production at the Trikala facility, one of Greece’s historic centers of food processing,” he added.
