Kosovo decided Friday to lift the 10% tariff on US goods, as the US modified the tariff rates for numerous countries on late Thursday.

The government voted to lift the 10% tariff on US goods at today's Cabinet meeting.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said: "From now on, all products originating from the US will have a 0% tariff when they enter our country."

Kurti stated that he strongly believes the decision will increase trade volume with the US and future investments from this country.

Industry and Trade Minister Rozeta Hajdari stated that the decision paves the way for the signing of a free trade agreement between the US and Kosovo and will contribute to further strengthening economic relations.

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing tariffs on all products imported into the US. The order envisioned a 10% tariff on Kosovo products.
