Germany's producer prices drop 8.6% year-on-year in December
Prices also saw 2.4% decline in 2023, according to Destatis

ISTANBUL
The annual producer inflation was at minus 8.6% in Germany in December, the country's statistical authority said on Friday.
"In December 2023, lower energy prices continued to be the main reason for the year-on-year decline in producer prices," Destatis said in a statement.
Energy prices were also down by 23.5% on a yearly basis, while industrial producer prices were 2.4% lower in 2023 than in 2022.
On a monthly basis, prices dropped by 1.2%.
