Euro area trade balance posts $16.9B surplus in November
Eurozone exports of goods amount to €248.3B last year, imports stand at €231.9B

The eurozone trade balance posted a €16.4 billion ($16.9 billion) surplus in November, according to official data released on Thursday.
The figure shrank from a €18.2 billion surplus in the same period last year and from €8.6 in October 2024, Eurostat data showed.
Euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world dropped 1.6% year-on-year to €248.3 billion this November, while imports decreased 1% to €231.9 billion.
The EU27 ran a trade surplus of €14.3 billion in November, down from a €17.2 billion surplus in March 2023.
The US was the top recipient of EU exports with €46.8 billion, ticking up 1.6% from a year ago.
The EU's other major export markets were the UK (€29.8 billion), China (€16.7 billion), Switzerland (€17.5 billion), and Türkiye (€9.9 billion).
On the other side, China was the main source of imports, with €45.5 billion, rising 2% compared to the prior year.
It was followed by the US, the UK, Switzerland, Norway, and Türkiye.
