ISTANBUL
Turkish prefabricated building manufacturer Karmod installed a prefabricated office and laboratory building at a mining site in the Can district of country’s northwestern Canakkale province, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Karmod Prefabric General Manager Ugur Kadir said the company provides mining sites with safe, ergonomic structures, adding that its services cover every stage from site planning to on-site installation.
“Constructing buildings in mining areas with challenging working conditions requires specialized planning,” Kadir said. “With our sectoral know-how and organizational capability, we offer mining companies sustainable site buildings, from design to deployment.”
Kadir added that Karmod aims to provide mine workers across Türkiye with living and working spaces that match the comfort of home.
The company recently delivered a 405-square-meter office and laboratory facility for a marble quarry in Canakkale.
The building, designed with a custom elevation of 3.5 meters, was produced as a sandwich-panel prefabricated structure using rock wool insulation for fire safety and thermal performance.
Installation was completed in 16 days, Karmod informed.
