ANKARA
Fifteen journalists who completed training at the Anadolu Agency News Academy have received their certificates.
Journalists from Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan participated in Anadolu Agency’s training program, which ran from June 30 to July 4 in cooperation with Turkey's Directorate General of Press and Information and Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA).
The training program included courses on agency journalism, applied photography, applied video shooting techniques and multimedia applications.
AA Deputy Director General Omer Eksi said in a speech at the ceremony in Ankara on Friday that the agency had a great satisfaction from training and working with the young journalists.
“Anadolu Agency has been serving for 90 years, providing its subscribers news, photos and video service,” said Eksi. “Anadolu Agency has also become very important on the international arena.”
Anadolu Agency currently broadcasts in Turkish, Arabic, English, Russian, Kurdish and French and also collectively in Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian.
The agency has divided its global network into five main regions as part of its centennial vision; the Americas, Europe, Middle East-Africa, Asia-Caucasus and Asia-Pacific.
