Turkish foreign minister meets with Turkic counterparts in Istanbul
Hakan Fidan holds talks with Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz and Uzbek counterparts on sidelines of Organization of Turkic States’ informal foreign ministers meeting
ISTANBUL
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Saturday met with his Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz and Uzbek counterparts in Istanbul, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Fidan met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, and Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov “on the margins of the Informal Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Istanbul,” according to the ministry.
Details of the discussions were not immediately released.
The informal OTS gathering brings together foreign ministers from Turkic-speaking countries to discuss regional cooperation, political coordination, and cultural ties.
