The number of tourists visiting Turkey's southern Antalya province increased 9.9 percent in the first half of 2013.
According to figures of Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Managements Union (AKTOB), tourist arrivals in Antalya reached 4,277,000 increasing 9.9 percent in January-June period of this year compared to the same period of last year.
Russia was at first row with a 20 percent increase with an incoming tourist number of 1,268,000 in this period. Tourists coming from Germany reached 1,110,000 people, increasing 1.6 percent.
Arrivals from Europe such as the Netherlands, Britain, Switzerland, Norway and Belgium showed a rise over 10 percent, while recession occurred in France, Poland, Czech Republic, Iran, Romania and Hungary.
Arrivals from Israel increased 140 percent at the same period.
