ISTANBUL COUNTING DOWN FOR FIGURE SKATING JUNIOR GRAND PRIX
ISTANBUL - The Figure Skating Junior Grand Prix will begin in Istanbul on Thursday. Nearly 100 skaters from 33 countries will compete in three categories at the "JPG Bosphorus 2009".
The tournament will take place at the Silivrikapi Ice Skating Arena that will host its first event.
The "JPG Bosphorus 2009" will be the last leg of the Junior Grand Prix before the finals in Tokio, in December.
Skaters Engin Ali Artan, Salih Bahadir Aydin, Ali Demirboga will represent Turkey in the "Junior Men" category, while Aybike Kahraman, Birce Atabey and Sila Saygi will compete in the "Junior Ladies" category.
Turkey will not be competing in the "Junior Ice Dance" category.
"JGP Bosphorus 2009" is one of the three legs in the tournament that does not feature the "Pairs" category.
