New York's LaGuardia Airport was closed late Sunday after a plane collided with a fire truck, resulting in fatalities and injuries, according to media reports.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop for all departures to LaGuardia due to the aircraft emergency, with the airport closure in effect until 1800GMT.
