Ukrainian opposition leaders have called on Germany to play a more active role in resolving the country's three-month political crisis.
Vitaly Klitschko and Arseniy Yatsenyuk held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Monday.
“We want to have a democratic and pro-European government, not a corrupted one," said Yatsenyuk.
"This government could get the support of our European investment partners to stabilize the financial situation, encourage foreign investment, and prevent a likely bankruptcy.”
He also added that Ukraine needs to have transparent relations with Russia.
Protests have been staged in Kiev since early December, when President Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign a trade agreement with the European Union in favor of closer ties with Russia.
