Gul said Turkey's strong economic growth offered an opportunity for European countries out of the recession.
"Turkey enjoys economic growth and safely develops as many European countries suffer economic and financial crises. This is important not only for Turks but also all our friends. Especially, a European Union member Turkey offers a great opportunity for Europe to overcome the recession," Gul told a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Gul said Turkey had grown nine percent in 2010 and 8.5 percent in 2011, adding that the country's debt-to-GDP ration was only 39 percent.
