The son of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie has been shot dead in Cairo, a human rights activist told Anadolu Agency.
Ammar, 37, was shot twice in the head and eye during his participation in Friday's protests in Cairo, activist Hasan Karim said.
His body now lays in the Ghamra military hospital in Cairo.
More than 181 people were killed Friday in mass protests staged by supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi in several Egyptian cities. More than half of the fatalities occurred in Cairo's Ramses Square.
The Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) has accused Egyptian authorities of committing "systematic killings" of peaceful protesters in the Ramses Square.
"Crimes are being committed now in Ramses Square. Peaceful protesters are being killed, and even after that their bodies continue to be fired at," Brotherhood spokesman Ahmed Aref told the Anadolu Agency.
- Badie's house is set on fire -
The house of MB Supreme Guide has been set on fire in the Upper Egyptian province of Beni Suief.
Fire gutted the first and second floors of Badie's villa in Beni Suief, eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency on Saturday.
Security forces and civil defense teams were totally absent from the area.
The MB leader has rarely appeared in public since the army ousted elected President Mohamed Morsi on July 3 after mass protests against him.
Two days after Morsi's ouster, Badie appeared in Cairo's Rabaa al-Adawiya Square, insisting that Morsi remains "the legitimate president of Egypt" and he must be reinstated.
