LONDON
The UK Queen's granddaughter, Zara Tindall, has given birth to a baby girl.
The Queen's official residence, Buckingham Palace, announced on Friday that Zara Tindall and her husband, rugby player Mike Tindall, welcomed their first child on Friday at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Married in 2011, the couple's new born became the 16th in line for the throne. In a statement, it was added, "The baby's name will be confirmed in due course."
Tindall's birth followed that of Prince George in July 22 last year to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Prince George is third in line to the throne.
Following the news, British Prime Minister David Cameron wrote from his official Twitter account using the'hashtag 'RoyalBaby', saying: "Many congratulations to Zara and Mike Tindall on the birth of their baby girl."
