DAMASCUS
At least 50 people, including three children have been killed in air and ground operations across Syria carried out by President Bashar al-Assad's regime. 19 people were killed in the suburbs of Damascus, 13 in Hama, 7 in Daraa, 5 in Idlib, 3 in Aleppo and one each in Latakiya, Deyru'z Zor and Homs, the London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights watchdog said on Tuesday.
An additional report from the Local Coordination Committees of Syria (LCCS), a network of local opposition groups, said that Assad's forces staged heavy armed attacks on Yermuk in the south of capital Damascus and intensive clashes occurred between the opponents and Assad's forces.
Berze, Duma, Jobar, East Ghouta and Daraya neighborhoods of capital Damascus came under heavy attacks of the regime forces and army gunships and jets bombarded Latakiya where many buildings were damaged and demolished in the attacks, LCC sources also said.
Meanwhile Syrian official news agency SANA reported that the security forces have killed many armed opponents in their operations in Aleppo, Latakiya and Damascus and destroyed several vehicles.
More than 100,000 people have been killed during the ongoing three-year conflict in Syria, which has also internally displaced more than 6.5 million people, according to the U.N.
