AMMAN
The Turkish Embassy in Amman hosted a reception on Monday to mark the 89th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
Hosted by Turkish Ambassador in Amman, Sedat Onal, the reception was attended by many dignitaries including Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Nsour.
Speaking at the reception, Ambassador Onal stressed that Turkey became a model country for the whole globe.
Onal reminded that Turkish-Jordanian relations were excellent for a very long time.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Prime Minister Nsour stressed that Turkish-Jordanian relations were excellent but that the two countries had to further promote bilateral relations due to the current situation in the Middle East.
Turkey's Republic Day celebrated in Tunisia
The 89th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey was celebrated in Tunisia with a reception.
Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, diplomats and other officials attended the reception hosted by Turkish Ambassador to Tunisia Omer Gucuk.
Guests enjoyed Turkish meals in the reception held at the embassy building in Tunis.
