Israeli authorities on Monday released Hamas lawmaker Khaled Yehia after detaining him for hours, sources with the deputy's office said.
According to the sources, an Israeli military force stormed the lawmaker's home in Jenin, northern the West Bank, in the early hours of the day and detained him for several hours before releasing him.
Israeli intelligence officers interrogated Yehia before his release, a statement by his office said.
Yehia had been detained by Israel for three years after Hamas won the parliamentary elections in 2006.
Israel is currently holding 13 Hamas lawmakers, according to Palestinian NGO Ahrar Center on Prisoners and Human Rights Studies.
