BAGHDAD
Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has declined an invitation by his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to pay a formal visit in Turkey, al-Maliki told Iraq's semi-official al-Iraqiya television.
Al-Maliki cited another planned foreign visit for declining the invitation, adding that he had penned "a letter of thanks" to the Turkish premier.
