CAIRO
Egyptian Court of Appeals decided to re-hear the cases of former president Hosni Mubarak and former interior minister Habib al-Adly.
Court officials told AA that Mubarak and al-Adly, who were serving life sentence for ordering the deaths of protesters during the revolution, would get a new trial.
Also, six deputy interior ministers, who earlier acquitted in the same case, will be retried.
Following the verdict, many protestors gathered in front of the court building, and protested the court's decision.
Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for 30 years, was found guilty last June of ordering the killing of protesters and was immediately transferred to Tora prison in southern Cairo to serve his life sentence. Last month, Mubarak was transferred to a military hospital after suffering a head injury.
