ALEPPO, Syria
A bombing raid by Syrian regime helicopters has left 22 people dead in rebel-held towns across Aleppo, according to opposition activists.
Army helicopters dropped several bombs on homes on Saturday, leaving 19 people dead in Kafr Hamra and Mari, while other three people were killed in the districts of Haidariya, Masaken Hananou and Cendel.
Activist Ubaid Ahmad Hasan, who lives in Aleppo, told The Anadolu Agency: "During the air raids dozens of homes, workplaces and some field hospitals suffered major damage and now many places have become unusable."
Hasan said the damaged field hospitals were suffering from a severe shortage of medical supplies, including blood, after the raids.
More than 100,000 people have been killed during the ongoing three-year conflict in Syria, which has also internally displaced more than 6.5 million people, according to the United Nations.
