Türkiye nabs 3 terror suspects fleeing to Greece
2 of detained suspects affiliated with FETO terrorist organization, says Defense Ministry

ISTANBUL
Turkish authorities captured three suspects who were trying to illegally flee to Greece from Türkiye, the Turkish National Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
“Three individuals who were attempting to cross illegally from Türkiye to Greece were captured by our border units,” the ministry tweeted, adding that two of the apprehended suspects were affiliated with the FETO terrorist organization.
“Our struggle continues at the borders,” the ministry said.
FETO orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, in Türkiye, in which 251 people were killed and 2,734 injured.
Türkiye accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
