HATAY
Three Syrians who were wounded in clashes taking place in Syrian city of Idlib gave information to the Anadolu Agency (AA) about their experiences.
The three Syrians were able to enter Turkey via the border gate at Hatay province's Reyhanli town after getting wounded in clashes between the Syrian troops and Free Syrian Army in Idlib and after a trip of about 24 hours.
The three Syrians were taken to the Reyhanli State Hospital in ambulances and their treatment began. The three individuals are in good health and they have talked to the AA about their experiences and what is taking place in Syria.
A.B. (43) said that he was wounded in his foot when a helicopter opened fire at around 16.00 hours in a field in Idlib.
Clashes between the Syrian troops and opposition members still continue, A.B. said.
The number of individuals who were killed in Idlib got close to 100, A.B. noted.
I would like to return to Syria once my treatment is over. Conditions in Syria are tough but it is my country. I want to continue to live in Syria, A.B. stressed.
A 25-year-old young man, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that he came to Turkey in an automobile.
My brother and friend were in the automobile. Syrian troops opened fire on us in Ariha region. We could not escape. My brother died there. My friend got seriously wounded and I do not know how he is doing right now. I was wounded by two bullets that hit my shoulders. I was able to arrive in Turkey under difficult conditions, the young man said.
Unable to hide his tears, the young man said that the overall situation in Syria was extremely bad.
Another Syrian who was wounded was A.H. (24).
A bullet scarred my head. If I do return to Syria, Syrian troops would kill my family and me. Assad will not let us live, A.H. stressed.
Terrible things are taking place in Idlib. Clashes continue there. We want the violence to end. I will return to Syria once my treatment is over. My family is there and I can not leave them alone. We are grateful to Turkey for helping us in all ways, A.H. also said.
