All of the Turkish dailies covered the killing of three women of Kurdish origin at the Kurdish Institute in Paris. "Deep execution in Paris" headlined daily MILLIYET where one of the women killed was a co-founder of the terrorist PKK and close friend of the jailed terrorist head Ocalan. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to the killings from Senegal and said that it was either internal feud or provocation at a time Turkey was having talks with terrorist PKK to resolve the country's long standing Kurdish issue.
Most dailies covered the Supreme Court of Appeals request to overturn the earlier rulings in the Hrant Dink murder case, arguing that the assassination was organized. Dink, an Armenian Turkish journalist, was assassinated in January 2007 and after 2 years of proceedings his murderer 17-year-old Ogun Samast was convicted as the court ruled that the murder was not organized crime.
