The meeting, which was closed to press, lasted nearly two hours. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay and foreign ministry officials also attended the meeting.
Bilateral relations, regional developments and fight against terrorism are envisioned to be discussed during the meeting.
Turkish newspapers wrote that Barzani would pay a two-day visit to take Turkey's pulse over convincing the terrorist PKK organization for "a cease-fire" during an upcoming Kurdish conference in Irbil in June.
