IZMIR
Turkey's Izmir and Japan's Jiangsu provinces became sister cities on Monday.
Executives of Jiangsu province, headed by Vice Governor Xu Ming, paid a courtesy visit to Izmir Governor Cahit Kirac.
During the meeting, Xu Ming expressed hope that mutual investments would increase, and invited Izmir's artists to their city to perform shows.
Xu Ming also said they were willing to cooperate with Turkey in solar energy.
Later, Kirac and Ming signed the sister city protocol.
