A Turkish father living in a town in northwestern Turkey named his three sons after Argentine soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona.
"Since my childhood, I have been a fan of Maradona and I watched almost all of his games. Before I got married I decided to name my children after Maradona," the 32-year-old Senturk said.
"I named my first son 'Diego Mohammed' who is now seven years old. His middle brother's name is 'Armagan Armando' who is two years old now. I named my baby boy 'Alptekin Maradona' who was born just twenty days ago. When people hear about their names, they get surprised at first and then they really like it. They say it was a really good idea to name my boys after the Argentine legend. I haven't heard anything negative so far. Many others say that it was a very brave thing to do," Senturk added.
Tekin Senturk was born and lived for long years in Germany. He said his family and he had returned to their homeland nearly six months ago and settled in Altinoluk village in Edremit town of Balikesir city.
