Turkish Airlines' new Kobe-Messi spot film hits over 114 mln Youtube views

"Kobe vs. Messi: The Selfie Shootout," the fresh commercial film of Turkish Airlines (THY) where NBA player Kobe Bryant of LA Lakers and Barcelona's Lionel Messi marked a rating of 114,695,829 views on Youtube.

Uploaded by THY to Youtube on December 3, the video receives an increasing number of views, with the figure already exceeded 114 million within 11 days.

The brand new spot film also broke the rating record of last year's "Kobe vs. Messi: Legends on Board" which got 105 million views again on Youtube, achiving another rating figure of 72,000 views on Dailymotion.

Highlighting the extended range, also transoceanic flights, the commercial film directed by Crispin Porter & Bogusky again features Kobe and Messi continuing their friendly competition against each other via the photographs they take in several exotic destinatons Turkish Airlines flies its passengers such as Moscow's Red Square, China's Great Wall, Maldives, Bangkok, Kilimanjaro Mountains.

The two end up in Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square in the conclusion of the film.

While the film focuses on the effectiveness of Turkish Airlines in global air transportation, the new THY motto  "Widen Your World" showing up at the end of the film aims to make the viewers smile as the Airlines wants to attract more world passengers.
