ANKARA
Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul will pay an official visit to Kuwait at the invitation of the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah between April 1 and 3.
Noting it will be the sixth meeting between the two presidents, the Turkish presidency's press office also said in a written statement that Gul will meet with Kuwait’s parliament speaker, prime minister, deputy prime minister and foreign minister.
The leaders will discuss regional developments and attend a business forum in order to enhance the countries' relationship, according to the statement.
Kuwait and Turkey established diplomatic relations in 1969 with a Turkish embassy opened in Kuwait in 1971.
