Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday said that the place to solve all forms of problems in Turkey was the democratic political arena.
Speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate a new tunnel and several new roads in Istanbul, Prime Minister Erdogan stressed that those who wanted to conduct politics on mountains may do so if they wished.
"Those who hug terrorists can not conduct politics on behalf of the nation. Even if they were to attempt to conduct politics, they would not receive respect," Erdogan underlined.
"There are two options, either Mount Qandil or the Turkish Parliament. Efforts made in the parliament will find a government willing to sit at the negotiations table," Erdogan indicated.
Prime Minister Erdogan's comments on Saturday came after several deputies of the opposition Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) were seen and photographed hugging several PKK terrorists in south-eastern Turkey.
PKK has killed over 30,000 Turkish citizens, including military personnel and police officers since 1984. It is recognized as a terrorist organization by many countries in the world, including the European Union (EU) and the United States.
