BERLIN
Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Omer Celik said (referring to Imrali minutes) "You must all know that there is no bargaining on the character of the Turkish state. There is no bargaining on the character of the nation. Documents published in a newspaper today were leaked by someone and they show the conversation between Imrali and deputies of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP). The documents are not binding for the Turkish state. The documents are not official from the perspective of the Turkish state. There is no part of the documents accepted by the Turkish state. The abuse of the matter by Turkish opposition parties as if it was an official document or bargaining was made over it have no meaning other than hurting the solution process in Turkey."
"The solution process has two legs. The first has to do with taking the armed components of the terrorist organization out of Turkish territories. The second is about strengthening social peace through democratic and economic measures," Celik also said.
Imrali is a Turkish island where the head of the terrorist PKK organization, Abdullah Ocalan, is kept in a prison.
