Onder: PKK will begin to withdraw after April 25

ANKARA (AA) - Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) deputy Sirri Sureyya Onder said that PKK would begin to withdraw from Turkey after April 25.

A press conference would be made in Qandil on April 25, and then PKK's withdrawal process from Turkey would begin, Onder told reporters on Tuesday.

The important thing is the willingness of the parties for solution, said Onder, adding that he saw the will in the government.

PKK terrorist organization's jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan has recently called the armed elements of the organization to withdraw from Turkey.

 

-Defense minister said TSK would do what the laws required during the withdrawal-

 

Turkish National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz said that Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) would do what the laws required during the withdrawal process of PKK terrorist organization from Turkey.

Yilmaz's statements came after Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) deputy Sirri Sureyya Onder said that PKK would begin to withdraw from Turkey after April 25. 

When asked whether Turkish troops would withdraw from the region, Yilmaz replied "no", and added that laws of Republic of Turkey were valid in every square of the country.

People in that region (southeast Turkey) should be protected too, said Yilmaz, adding that a weakness would not be made in any region.
