ANTALYA (AA) - Turkey's fifth patient having undergone a face transplant surgery was quite excited to see his face in the mirror for the first time following the surgery on Wednesday.
"It is perfect, I did not expect it to be so good," said 27-year-old Recep Sert, feeling his face and looking at himself in the mirror again and again.
Doctors performed a full face transplantation on July 18, along with a chin transplantation after he lost his left eye and chin in a shotgun accident in 2007.
Turkey's 6th and most complex face transplant surgery was recently successfully concluded.
