Chairman of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association of Turkey (MUSIAD) Nail Olpak said that EU shrank by 0.8-1 percent in 2012.
Hosted by AA Finance Desk in Istanbul on Tuesday, Olpak said that Turkey's growing by 0.3 percent in 2012 should be considered positive under those conditions.
He estimated 2013 would be more positive than 2012.
Noting that the EU was an important trade partner for Turkey, Olpak said that Turkey would not draw apart from the EU.

Attending the meeting via tele-conference from capital Ankara, Anadolu Agency Director General Kemal Ozturk thanked Olpak and gave him information about AA's projects.
Noting that AA would be a bridge between the firms in Turkey and the Middle East & Balkans in 2013, Ozturk said that any event would reach to Arab or Bosniak media the moment it happened.
He said that covering the firms news was very important.
