Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag will travel to Germany's Solingen city where five members of a Turkish family had been killed in an arson attack by racist German youngsters on May 29th, 1993.
Bozdag will take part in the commemoration ceremony for the 20th year of the arson attack.
Prior to the ceremony, he will visit Mevlude Genc -- a family member who survived the attack -- at her house, sources said.
Following his Germany program, Bozdag will proceed to France and come together with Turkish residents of Strasbourg, Lyon and Paris.
He will visit the NGOs set up by Turkish citizens in Strasbourg on May 30, and he will come together with Turkish residents of Lyon on May 31.
Later on, he will head to French capital Paris and attend Anatolian Festival on June 1.
Deputy prime minister is expected to return Turkey on June 2.
Solingen arson attack
The house of the Genc family was set on fire by extreme rightists in Solingen city of Germany on May 29th, 1993. Five people were killed in the arson attack. After the event, 4 extreme rightist youngsters were arrested. Three of them were sentenced to ten years in prison while the remaining other was given a 15-year imprisonment term.
