Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag regarding a news headlined in a Turkish newspaper stating "The code name: Istanbul rebellion" said it would be making fun of the minds of people to relate this with spontaneous events that became widespread in a short time.
Bozdag spoke to TV8, a Turkish television channel, when responding to a question regarding a news article published in a Turkish newspaper saying "The code name: Istanbul rebellion" and said the manner of foreign broadcasting corporations were eye-catching, since the demonstration have started.
Indicating that many democratic countries faced similar events and broadcasting corporation's approaches for those events were different than the ones in Turkey, Bozdag stressed CNN, BBC, popular newspapers and television channels have reflected the news from different aspects.
Bozdag also said there is disinformation in social media regarding the protests across Turkey.
Regarding a news article headlined in a Turkish newspaper stating "The code name: Istanbul rebellion," Bozdag said it would be making fun of the minds of people to relate this with spontaneous events that became widespread in a short time.
"Right after the events, many international broadcasting corporations especially BBC and CNN synchronously aired the demonstrations live in Turkey," said Bozdag.
Bozdag said "recently one of the Ankara media representatives said, some channels rented our outside broadcast vehicles from the beginning of May till June 4. Not only this but also Cihan, Dogan and IHA new agencies and some other agencies' live broadcast equipment were wanted to be rented. I asked " Is this something usual?" and he responded 'no it won't happen all the time. It sometimes happens when there is a need for it but it is the first time I have seen such a development'."
Turkey's Minister of European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis also spoke to TV 24, a Turkish TV channel and said "Today the events in the US, England and Turkey are simultaneous and it is not a coincidence".
Bagis for the same news said "external powers before the demonstrations made some meetings to incite anarchy in Turkey".

Yeni Safak headlined "The Code name: Istanbul Rebellion", referring to Israel's American Enterprise Institute meeting in February, indicated that Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Bernard Lewis, Elliot Abrams, Richard Perle, John Bolton, William Kristol and Douglas Feith had participated in the meeting in Washington and "a possible rebellion in Istanbul" was discussed in a simulation where 6 Turkish people also took part in "turning the Taksim Square into the Tahrir Square".
