ANKARA
Türkiye reached the semifinals of the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship (EuroVolley) by beating Poland 3-0 in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
The Crescent Stars eliminated Poland with 25-23, 25-22, and 25-18 sets.
Melissa Teresa Vargas led Türkiye to victory with 24 points.
With this win, Türkiye advanced to the EuroVolley semifinals for the fifth time in a row.
In the semifinals on Friday, Türkiye will take on the reigning champions Italy, while the Netherlands will face the winner of the Serbia-Czech Republic game.
