LONDON
The world number two in men's singles, Roger Federer, has reached the final game of the Wimbledon tennis tournament by beating world number three, Britain's Andy Murray, 3-0 in the semifinal match.
Federer, the 33-year-old Swiss tennis player, booked a place for himself at the 10th championship match of his career at the All England Club on Friday when he eliminated the Scot, Murray, on his home turf with 7-5, 7-5, 6-4, breaking the opponent's service in all three sets.
The second-seeded Swiss is now paired with top-seeded Novak Djokovic in a repeat of last year's final.
Aiming for his 17th Grand Slam title, Federer hopes to beat the two-time Wimbledon champion, Djokovic, on the Centre Court Sunday to score an eighth Wimbledon title.
The Swiss racket has won 20 matches against Djokovic while he lost out to the Serbian tennis star 19 times.
The 28-year-old Serb beat Federer 3-2 in last year's final to win his second Wimbledon title.
Djokovic reached his fourth Wimbledon final in five years by defeating French 20th seed Richard Gasquet 7-6 , 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-final match on Friday.
