Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George missed Tuesday night's match against Los Angeles Lakers with a finger injury.

"George sustained tendon damage to the little finger on his non-shooting left hand when he jammed it Saturday against Chicago," 76ers said in a statement. "George will be evaluated again ahead of Wednesday’s game against Sacramento but he was not expected to miss extended time."

It added that Joel Embiid also sat out again against the LA Lakers and was expected to miss the game against the Sacramento Kings.

The Sixers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 118-104 at home.

George had already missed games this season with knee and groin injuries because of load management.

The 34-year-old averaged 17.1 points and had just scored 30 points in a win Friday over Cleveland in the first season of a four-year, $212 million free-agent deal.

He moved to 76ers from Los Angeles Clippers in July 2024, signing as a free agent, and wearing No. 8 for the team
