Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC) point guard Russell Westbrook set a new NBA record as he made his 10th consecutive "triple double" in league history on Monday.

OKC star Westbrook helped Thunder beat Portland Trail Blazers 120-111 scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists in Monday's game at Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma.

With his 10th consecutive "triple double", Westbrook has broken NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain's 51-year-old record. Chamberlain had nine straight "triple doubles" in history.

In addition to Westbrook's individual performance, another OKC star Paul George -- playing as forward -- made a "triple double" against Trail Blazers.

George tallied 47 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard produced 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Lillard's teammate Jake Layman scored 17 points. Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic scored nine points and had 12 rebounds.
