Medals distributed in 6 disciplines on day 7 of 2026 Winter Olympics
Athletes medal in cross-country skiing, biathlon, speed skating, snowboard, skeleton, figure skating

Medals were claimed Friday in six disciplines at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics.
On the seventh day of the Games in Italy, seven medal events took place -- biathlon, cross-country skiing, figure skating, skeleton, snowboard and speed skating.
Norwegian Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo left his rivals behind in the men’s 10-kilometer freestyle cross-country race in a time of 20 minutes, 36.2 seconds, winning his third medal at the Games and his eighth Olympic gold.
Klaebo tied the record for the most Winter Olympic golds held by Norwegian skiers Marit Bjorgen, Ole Einar Bjorndalen and Bjorn Daehlie.
French athlete Mathis Desloges won silver and Norwegian Einar Hedegart took bronze.
In the men’s 10-kilometer sprint biathlon, gold went to Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet. Norwegian athletes completed the podium, with Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen taking silver and Sturla Holm Laegreid winning bronze.
In the men’s 10,000 meters speed skating, Czech skater Metodej Jilek won gold. Polish athlete Vladimir Semirunniy earned silver, while Dutchman Jorrit Bergsma took bronze.
In women’s snowboard cross, Australian Josie Baff claimed her first Olympic title by finishing ahead of her rivals in the final. Czech Eva Adamczykova won silver and Italian Michela Moioli took bronze.
In the men’s snowboard halfpipe, Japan’s Yuto Totsuka scored 95 points to win gold. Australian Scotty James earned silver and fellow Japanese Ryusei Yamada took bronze.
Great Britain’s Matt Weston captured gold in the men’s skeleton. German athletes completed the podium, with Axel Jungk winning silver and Beijing 2022 champion Christopher Grotheer taking bronze.
The last medals of the day were awarded in the men’s figure skating event. Kazakh skater Mikhail Shaidorov claimed the gold medal. Japanese skaters Yuma Kagiyama and Shun Sato won silver and bronze, respectively.
Curling and ice hockey competitions were also held.
